In 2011, when still in high school, I entered thanks to my biology teacher, without knowing to a national contest called "Xpresate por los Bosques y el Agua" It all started as a homework, where the teacher asked us to do a comic for children in which we teach them the problem that the Earth is having because of the waste of water.
So I decided to create this little martians called "Onicos". In the comic they tell us a story of how in school the teacher asked them to look for the "blue planet", Earth. But when they looked up for it with their binoculars they couldn´t find it. It was all dry, and looked like the "brown planet" instead.
At the end they steal their dad´s spaceship so they could make a capaign on Earth, with the purpose of making it blue again. At the end, I won 1st place among 10200 contestants, and 250 schools. And my comic was shown to kids on preschool and primary school so they learn to take care of the water. It´s something I appreciate a lot, because it goes beyond the price and the drawing, but the message kids needed to listen, presented in a creative way.
